Privacy Policy

SVGtoIMG (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”) is a free, privacy-first tool for converting SVG files to raster image formats. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. SVGtoIMG is operated as part of the NullWeb.net suite of browser tools.

The short version

Your SVG files are converted entirely inside your web browser. They are never transmitted to, stored on, or seen by our servers — because for the core conversion feature, there are no servers in the loop at all. The image you download is generated on your own device.

Local processing of your files

When you add an SVG to SVGtoIMG, the file is read by JavaScript running in your browser and rasterized using the HTML canvas. All format encoding (PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP and TIFF) happens locally. We do not upload, copy, log, analyze, or retain the contents of your files, their filenames, or the images you produce. When you close or reload the page, any in-memory data is discarded.

Web fonts (the one exception)

If your SVG references a font and you leave the “Embed Google Fonts” option enabled, SVGtoIMG fetches that font from Google Fonts so your text renders correctly in the converted image. This is the only feature that contacts an external server. When it runs, only the font’s name is sent to Google in order to download the font file — the contents of your SVG are never transmitted. You can disable font embedding in the converter to keep the tool fully offline.

Information we do not collect

  • The contents of your SVG files or converted images
  • File names or file paths
  • Account information — there are no accounts and no sign-up
  • Payment information — the Service is free

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect limited, non-identifying technical information to keep the Service running and understand aggregate usage:

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics 4) to understand how the Service is used in aggregate — for example, which formats are popular, how long a conversion takes, or whether an error occurred. These events contain only non-personal metadata such as a file count, an approximate size bucket, or a duration. We never send your filenames or file contents to any analytics provider.

Advertising

We may display advertising (such as Google AdSense) to keep the Service free. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can learn about and control personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings and the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Server logs and geolocation

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process standard request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver the site and protect against abuse. We may derive a coarse, country-level location from your IP to show region-appropriate content; this is stored only as a short-lived cookie and is not linked to your identity.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies: a short-lived cookie for coarse geolocation, and cookies set by analytics or advertising partners as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the core conversion tool works without them.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties, each with its own privacy policy:

  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery
  • Google — analytics, advertising, and Google Fonts (when font embedding is enabled)

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we do not collect personal data through the core tool, most requests will concern analytics or advertising identifiers, which you can control via the links above or by contacting us.

Your rights under CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

Children’s privacy

SVGtoIMG is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International users

The Service may be accessed worldwide. Where data is processed by our providers, it may be handled in the United States or other countries under appropriate safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
